The short version: your invoices and your numbers never leave your device.
Your invoices and figures
Everything you type is processed by JavaScript in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, stored or logged by us: there is no server here that receives it. What the tools do keep, they keep on this device, and the next section but one lists exactly what that is.
The PDF
The PDF is made by your browser's own print dialog. No document is rendered on a server, so no copy of your invoice exists anywhere but on your device.
What this site keeps on your device
Nothing in this site's own code sets a cookie. It does keep quite a lot in your browser's local storage, on this device and nowhere else, and it is worth knowing exactly what: finkit-invoice-v1 is the document you have open, including your own details, your client's details, every line and any notes. finkit-invoice-docs-v1 holds up to forty documents you saved with Save the draft. finkit-invoice-clients-v1 is the client book, so it holds the names, addresses, emails and tax numbers of the people you invoice, which is other people's personal data sitting in your browser. finkit-debts-v1 holds the figures you put into the debt payoff calculator, and finkit-currency remembers the currency you last used.
New document does not empty any of this. It keeps your own address, your logo, your design and your settings on purpose, because nobody wants to retype those, and starts a fresh client with fresh lines. Forget removes one saved client. To remove all of it, including the client book, clear this site's data in your browser settings.
Alongside that your browser keeps a copy of the site so the tools work offline, which on a site this size runs to several megabytes. Your browser files both under "Cookies and site data". None of it reaches us: there is no server here that receives it.
Advertising
This site is free because of advertising served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar identifiers to choose and measure ads. Those are set on Google's own domains, not on this one, which is why they never appear under this site's stored data. The ads never see anything you do here. You can read how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and turn off ad personalisation for your Google account at adssettings.google.com.
Fonts and analytics
The page fonts come from Google Fonts, so opening a page tells Google's font servers your IP address and which font was asked for. Nothing else is sent, and your browser caches the files afterwards. Google's privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy.
Visits are counted by Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights, which is how we know when a page is slow or a tool is worth keeping. Neither sets a cookie. What they collect, and how long it is kept, is set out in Vercel's privacy policy at vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy. The same counter records that a tool produced a result and which tool it was, never a file name, a size, or anything you typed.
No accounts, and how to reach us
There are no accounts, no sign-up and no newsletter. There is also nothing for us to delete on request, because we never receive a copy of anything you type: it stays on your device. If you have a question about any of this, there is an email address on the contact page that reaches a person.
