Frequently asked questions
What is taken off a salary in Spain?
The employee's social contributions and the income tax on what is left, worked out with the rules of Spain for the tax year printed under the result. Each contribution is shown on its own line so you can see where the money went.
Why is my payslip different?
Because a payslip knows things this cannot: your tax code, pension contributions, student loan, benefits in kind, local or regional taxes, and any allowance personal to you. This is the ordinary case worked out from the statutory rules.
Does it include what my employer pays?
No. Only what you lose is shown. Employer contributions sit on top of your gross salary and never appear on your pay.
How current are the rules?
Every result prints the tax year they belong to and the date the table was last checked, with links to the official sources for both the income tax and the contributions.
Is anything uploaded?
Every figure is worked out in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, there is no sign-up, and no result is stored anywhere but on your own device.
